COLLECTING, EXPLAINED · 3 MIN READ
Follow the market’s moves.
A price is one part of a market. Activity helps you see what actually changed hands, which currency was used and where to inspect the underlying transaction.
What changed hands?
- 01 · EVENT
Read its type
Separate sales, mints, transfers and burns before comparing events.
- 02 · CONTEXT
Read the units
Inspect the collection, quantity, currency and timestamp together.

Read the event before the number
Global Activity brings together indexed NFT sales, mints, transfers and burns. Filter by event type to focus the feed. A transfer is a movement between addresses; it should not be read as a sale unless a supported settlement proves a payment.
Follow the transaction link to inspect the event on the chain explorer. One transaction may contain several NFT movements. Quantities, token IDs and the participating addresses provide context that a headline price alone cannot.
Keep a collection in context
Within a collection, Collector mode has a separate Activity tab. Trader mode places activity in the right-hand workspace on larger screens, alongside the item or bid view. The Holders tab shows indexed ownership and identifies partial coverage when a full census is unavailable.
Bid depth describes the supported funded native bids in the selected payment currency. It is separate from the lowest asking price. Funding and order validity are checked again at execution because balances, approvals and offers can change.
Compare like with like
Read the currency and selected time range before comparing a chart or two sales. ZAPP preserves source prices; an ETH price and a USDG price are different units. A missing chart point means no qualifying observation is available, rather than a price of zero.
Activity and charts depend on indexing and source availability. Use them for context, then inspect the current item and execution review. Past sales and a collection floor do not guarantee the price at which you can sell.
Read activity beside the market

- Read the event label: a transfer and a sale mean different things.
- Compare the price only when its currency is known.
- Follow the time and transaction link to inspect the chain record.
